Jackman shared,
“I was driving when it hit me like a bolt of lightning that I wanted to do this film. When I said I was done, I really was. But ever since I saw Deadpool, I knew I had to do it. I knew fans wanted to see the characters together, so I just knew. I couldn’t wait.”

He hilariously added that he immediately called Ryan Reynolds and agreed to do the film, forgetting to inform his agent about the commitment.
Ryan Reynolds also reflected on his journey portraying the MCU’s Merc with a Mouth. He says:
“I will never forget the first time I sat in a movie theatre for Deadpool 1. It was a fan screening, and all the folks who would normally go see this movie were there. It wasn’t like a fancy premiere. We’ve never done that with Deadpool, as we have always invited the fans in to watch it with us for the first time. I have never experienced joy, elation, or a sense of community like that in a movie theatre ever. Those kinds of experiences you can’t share with everyone else. You want to feel that laughter, that warmth, and that emotion in the room,”

Ryan stressed the significance of the iconic reunion between Logan and Deadpool, emphasizing that Hugh’s character is irreplaceable. “There’s only one Wolverine,” he said, with Levy adding, “There’s also one Deadpool. And I will tell you, the audience will see these guys in their most iconic characters, and it will be a delight.”
The movie Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2024. With almost 2 months left until the release, you can catch up on Marvel’s previous movies and stay tuned for more exciting announcements from the Marvel universe.
