The actor told his wife, “These special moments and events aren’t the same without you. I love you.”
Chris Hemsworth is very thankful for his wife, Elsa Pataky. Just before his new movie, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, comes out in theaters, the 40-year-old actor was in Los Angeles on May 23 to get a star on Hollywood Boulevard.
He is the 2,781st person from the entertainment industry to get a star there. The director of Mad Max, George Miller, and Hemsworth’s Marvel co-star, Robert Downey Jr., were there to celebrate with him. During his speech, Hemsworth thanked his wife, Elsa, who was there with him along with their three kids: India Rose, 12, and twins Sasha and Tristan, 10.

“I want to thank my wonderful wife, who has been with me throughout my whole career, always supporting and encouraging me,” he said. “I know she has put her own dreams on hold to help me with mine, and I am forever grateful to her.”
“I realize that none of these moments, these special occasions and events, would be as meaningful without you beside me. I love you,” he added.
Downey, who is 59 years old, showed up at the event with a funny list of comments, or “roasts,” from their Avengers co-stars, each using three words to describe him.
“First, Renner says ‘absurdly annoyingly amazing.’ Then Ruffalo says ‘Friend from work,’ which is a reference, now I get it. Scarlett calls him ‘sensitive leading lady.’ And Captain America says he’s ‘second-best Chris.'”
In May, Hemsworth and Pataky’s twin kids made a special appearance on the red carpet at the Australian premiere of Furiosa, a movie both their parents are in. In the movie, which is a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, Hemsworth plays a bad guy named Dementus who is a rival to Anya Taylor-Joy’s character, Furiosa.
“I’ve worked with him and was incredibly impressed by how he went above and beyond my expectations and brought people together,” said Miller, 79, during the Walk of Fame ceremony. “He’s a great actor, and I’m happy to say he’s also a great person.”
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga comes out in theaters on May 24. Hemsworth also voices Optimus Prime in the animated movie Transformers One, which will be in theaters on September 20.
