The British broadcaster will have highlights of every race and a live stream of the British Grand Prix
The new F1 season promises to be an enthralling one, especially as 2026 has ushered in some of the biggest rule changes the sport has ever seen. This year, the chassis, tyres, power unit and fuel are all new, with cars now smaller and more environmentally friendly.
Another major change has seen the grid grow from 10 teams to 11 with the arrival of Cadillac. The American team are the first start-up entry on the grid since Haas and have opted for experience with a driver line-up of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.
The duo are unlikely to feature at the front of the grid; instead, it will be the likes of McLaren (including reigning world champion Lando Norris), Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari hoping to challenge for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles.
Fortunately, Channel 4 will be showing F1 highlights throughout the season. The British broadcaster will also show the British Grand Prix for FREE. So read on as we explain how to watch F1 in 2026 on Channel 4 from anywhere.
How to watch F1 for free in the US, Canada, Australia and beyond?
F1 is live on Channel 4 (they also offer on-demand) – meaning you can watch for free right now. Outside UK? Use a VPN to access your UK services from anywhere, terms allowing – we’re watching F1 on Channel 4 right now and it works fine.
A word of warning: You’ll need a strong VPN (not a cheap/free one). So We tested the likes of Express VPN – all do the trick. It’s clearly a popular workaround for accessing F1 without paying for a fancy cable package.
