Whitney Leavitt is saying goodbye to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives!
The 32-year-old announced her departure from the Hulu reality show during her final Broadway performance of Chicago on Sunday, May 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In a video published by TMZ, Leavitt could be seen onstage while still in character as she pointed to a piece of paper and said, “Oh, erm, what is that? Let me see. Whitney Leavitt announces she’s leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” to huge cheers from the audience.
Leavitt has been on the cast since the show’s debut in September 2024.
The news follows her hugely successful run in Chicago, during which she smashed the musical’s box office record with the highest weekly ticket sales in the show’s 29-year history.
The MomTok star was announced to be playing Roxie Hart in December 2025, shortly after competing on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars and finishing as a semi-finalist.
Her initial run began on Feb. 2 for a six-week limited engagement, before it was extended due to mounting demand for tickets.
Leavitt’s DWTS partner Mark Ballas was then announced to be joining her as Billy Flynn for shows beginning April 6 through Sunday, May 3, which marked the mom of three’s final show.
In a post on Instagram on Saturday, Leavitt reflected on her time in the Broadway show, writing, “closing night is tomorrow & I’m just feeling a roller coaster of emotions right now 😭 never let anyone convince you your dream is impossible. Do the work to make it happen ✨I love you guys sm! Thank you for everything!!!! xx- Roxie Hart 💋✨.”
Just days before Leavitt’s announcement, her husband Conner Leavitt announced he will be making his New York stage debut in the off-Broadway show 11 to Midnight for a limited three-week engagement.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to join the cast of 11 to Midnight and be a part of such a special, unique theater experience here in New York,” Conner, 32, told a magazine.
Citing his wife as a “continuous inspiration to follow your dreams,” Conner added that Leavitt’s “experience onstage really helped me find a love and appreciation for the theater.”
The couple recently moved to New York City with their three young children for Whitney’s run in Chicago.
Many of Leavitt’s costars traveled to the Big Apple to support her during her Broadway debut in February, including Taylor Frankie Paul, Mayci Neely and Jessi Draper.
News of Whitney’s departure from Mormon Wives comes following a tumultuous time for the Hulu show.
