One of the most popular police procedural shows is about to leave its streaming platform, so fans should hurry to watch it. White Collar will be removed from Netflix.
Netflix announced that White Collar will officially leave on Oct. 1. The series, starring Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer, originally aired for six seasons starting in 2009 on USA Network, and a reboot is reportedly in progress. White Collar blends comedy and drama, with DeKay as FBI Special Agent Peter Burke and Bomer as Neal Caffrey — a smart and charming con artist, forger, and thief. When tough cases come up, Neal works both as a criminal informant and an FBI consultant.

The show is often compared to Suits and Psych because all three feature a clever main character paired with a steady authority figure who keeps them in line. Alongside DeKay and Bomer, the cast includes Willie Garson as Mozzie, Neal’s best friend and fellow con man, and Tiffani Thiessen as Elizabeth Burke, an event planner and Peter’s wife.

White Collar remains a fan and critic favorite more than ten years after its finale. It holds a 96% average rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with Seasons 2, 3, 4, and 6 all earning a perfect 100%. Reviewers often praise the chemistry between the two leads, as well as the mix of comedy and plot twists that keep the story fast-paced and exciting.
Fans have only a few days left to watch White Collar on Netflix, but new episodes may arrive soon. In 2020, creator Jeff Eastin began working on a revival, and as of 2024 it was still confirmed. Eastin is writing it, and Bomer, DeKay, and Thiessen are expected to return.
The reboot is tentatively called White Collar: Renaissance. Although it’s been planned for years, there’s no set release date or filming schedule yet. That hasn’t stopped Bomer from sharing his excitement after reading Eastin’s ideas for the reboot.
It’s fantastic, and it’s completely in line and in keeping with the show that we were able to do six seasons of. It really just feels like he was able to pick up right where we left off. It’s a really intelligent, fun, organic way to bring all the characters back together to pay tribute to Willie Garson, Diahann Carroll and folks we’ve lost since the show ended, which was really important to me. It’s something that if you enjoyed the show, you really will have a good time watching it.
he told People Magazine, and Bomer added
Garson passed away in 2021 from pancreatic cancer at age 57. Diahann Carroll, who played recurring character June Ellington, died in 2019.
White Collar will stream on Netflix until Oct. 1.
