A new documentary, Titanic: Our Secret Histories, aired on Channel 4 this past Saturday (17 May), uncovering forgotten stories of the ship’s passengers and crew. Co-produced by Tourism Ireland, it shed fresh light on the Titanic’s untold past. Viewers outside the UK can also watch the show by using a VPN to access.
A new documentary airing on Channel 4 this weekend will uncover the overlooked stories of the RMS Titanic’s passengers and crew. Titanic: Our Secret Histories and produced by Belfast-based Afro-Mic Productions, the film delves into the hidden lives of those who survived, and those who lost their lives, in the 1912 tragedy.
In the lead-up to the 40th anniversary of the Titanic wreck’s discovery, the documentary features stories from living descendants on both sides of the Atlantic, along with insights from renowned historians.
The documentary is also set to air in key tourism markets such as North America, Germany, Spain, and France, highlighting Belfast as the birthplace of the Titanic and a remarkable travel destination. Aidan Power, Director of Marketing at Tourism Ireland, said,
