The UK version of the show started in 2022 and was based on the original Dutch series, De Verraders, which came out in 2021.
The popular TV show The Traitors is being turned into a stage production, set to launch in 2027. The news comes after Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby won season four, which pulled in an average of 9.4 million viewers overnight, according to the BBC.
Production companies Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions announced that the hit TV show will come to the London stage next year. The stage show is being written by comedy writer and actor John Finnemore, best known for the BBC radio sitcom Cabin Pressure. It will be directed by Olivier Award winner Robert Hastie.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, The Traitors brings together 22 contestants, mostly called faithfuls, who try to uncover the hidden traitors. The traitors secretly eliminate players at night while everyone competes for a cash prize.
Set in the Scottish Highlands, the award-winning show also has challenges where players earn money for the prize pot, then meet at a roundtable each night to vote out suspected traitors.
The BBC also launched a celebrity version last autumn, where comedian Alan Carr won, beating faithfuls historian David Olusoga and actor Nick Mohammed.
The finale drew 14.9 million viewers, making it the biggest TV audience of 2025. The UK version started in 2022 and was based on the original Dutch show De Verraders, which launched in 2021.
