The Irish edition of the tense psychological reality competition, hosted by Siobhán McSweeney, brings 22 strangers to a remote castle to take part in the ultimate game of trust, betrayal, and deception — all with the hope of winning up to €50,000.
Among them lurk the Traitors, who secretly “murder” one player each night without being discovered. The rest, known as the Faithfuls, must work together to identify and banish the Traitors before they themselves are eliminated.

Each day, contestants take on Missions to grow the prize pot. Those who make it to the end could walk away with a life-changing sum, but if even one Traitor survives undetected, they will claim the entire amount for themselves.
Meanwhile, the UK version of the multi-award-winning format is about to launch its first celebrity edition, kicking off with an extended 70-minute opening episode. It will air twice a week, every Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
Joining Claudia Winkleman in the Scottish Highlands are Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson, and Tom Daley. The celebrities will battle it out in the same high-stakes game of suspicion and strategy, competing to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
For fans looking for more, the official companion podcast, Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, returns on BBC Two immediately after each main episode and will also be available on BBC Sounds and iPlayer. Hosted by Ed Gamble, the show will feature celebrity players and past contestants, diving into all the twists and betrayals from the castle.
Looking ahead, with the hotly anticipated fourth series due in 2026, the BBC has already confirmed The Traitors will return for a fifth season. Applications are now open at bbc.co.uk/takepart for anyone brave enough to face the ultimate test of trust and deception.
The Celebrity Traitors premieres Wednesday 8 October at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
