Giancarlo Esposito, who played Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, hinted he might return. Even though nothing is confirmed, he said he would return if creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni needed him.
Giancarlo Esposito told Deadline he doesn’t know if he’ll return to Star Wars, but he’s ready if needed. He praised Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Disney for their work on The Mandalorian.
“I love what they do with the show. Maybe there will be a time when I can come back and take charge again.”
Esposito added
Giancarlo Esposito first appeared as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, where he was the main bad guy for three seasons. As the leader of the remaining Galactic Empire, he used his Darksaber to attack Mandalore. Gideon also tried to catch Grogu several times to get his Force-sensitive blood. In the end, he died in an explosion in Mandalore.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy is excited about the next Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu. She shared this news after throwing the first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. The movie will continue the story of The Mandalorian and take place after season three.

While it’s not certain if he’ll be back in Star Wars, Giancarlo Esposito, famous for playing Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, will appear in the MCU for the first time in Captain America: Brave New World. He couldn’t say much about his character but gave fans a hint about what they can expect from his role.
“In the MCU, I’ll be a tough character, and I’m thrilled about that. Acting involves using all your emotions, senses, and feelings to portray something. But this time, I’ll be using my body in a new way. The MCU is really exciting. I can’t reveal my character yet, but you’ll be thrilled when you see it.”
