The Last of Us Season 1 was a huge success, bringing HBO ratings they hadn’t seen since Game of Thrones. The show got 19 Emmy nominations and won eight of them.
Max included scenes from Season 2 of The Last of Us in a new video showing clips from upcoming shows. Season 1 was based on the 2013 game, but Season 2 will follow the story from the 2020 game, The Last of Us – Part II.
We get our first look at Catherine O’Hara‘s character, though details about her role are still a secret. She seems both kind and scary so it will be interesting. It’s important to know that O’Hara might not be playing a character from the video games. She could be a new character made just for the show.
O’Hara’s character asks Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, “Did you hurt her? What did you do?” She is probably talking about Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey.
Next, we see an exciting series of action scenes showing what Joel does and what happens in the second season.

In the middle of the action, we see Oscar-nominee Jeffrey Wright playing his role from Part II. He is Isaac, a strong and quiet leader of a big militia group. He wanted freedom but is now stuck in a long war against a clever enemy.
In response to O’Hara’s question, Joel, with a tear on his cheek, says, “I saved her.”
Seeing Pedro Pascal cry, Catherine O’Hara looking amazing, and Jeffrey Wright appearing is exciting. We can’t wait for Season 2! But we don’t know when it will start, so we must wait a bit longer. Good luck waiting! Check out the full video below:
