Impressive premiere ratings hint that rival broadcasters are in for a tough time.
The Block made a strong comeback last night, drawing 1.3 million viewers nationally with its Daylesford ChillOut challenge, topping entertainment for the night. That’s an increase from the 2024 premiere’s 1.11 million and marks the show’s best launch since 2022. If these numbers hold or rise, Nine is in a strong position to dominate the remaining weeks of the ratings survey.
Dancing with the Stars saw Harry Garside eliminated, attracting 943,000 viewers—an improvement from last Sunday—followed by MasterChef Australia (612,000) and ABC’s returning drama Austin (512,000).
Later in the evening, 60 Minutes led with 684,000 viewers, followed by 7News Spotlight (586,000), Watson (242,000), and Bay of Fires (237,000).
