The Terrifier series keeps delivering, from its blood-filled scenes and shocking kills to the terrifying clown that sticks in your mind long after watching. What’s not to enjoy about this series? So, when Terrifier 4 was announced with director Damien Leone returning, fans were thrilled. Now, the beloved director has shared some exciting hints that make waiting for the next movie even more fun.
I know this word gets used a lot, but it’s going to be epic, it’s not going to disappoint. You’re going to get Art’s backstory in the first 15 minutes.
said Leone at Texas Frightmare Weekend to 3C Films on YouTube. When probed for a small tease of the movie, he further revealed
That’s a big reveal. Fans already knew we’d learn about Art the Clown’s background in the new movie, but finding it out in the first 15 minutes means the film won’t save his backstory for the ending.

This gives Art plenty of time to bring chaos to Miles County again. Still, his backstory might be the key to finally stopping him for good.
Played by David Howard Thornton, Art the Clown is one of the most unforgettable killers in horror, inspiring many creepy clown characters in movies. Over three films, Art has scared, attacked, and shown us some of the most violent scenes ever seen in theaters, so much so that some fans left during the start of Terrifier 3. After the fourth movie was announced, Leone told fans that they’ll finally see Art’s origin story, something he had already shared on social media.
The script for Terrifier 4 is in the works and it’s shaping up to be a most epic, thrilling, nasty, horrifying, emotional and utterly satisfying conclusion.
While the story is still a secret, Terrifier 4 is expected to continue from where Terrifier 3 left off, where Art attacked Sienna and what was left of her family on Christmas Eve. But in their last battle, Art opened a portal to hell that pulled in Sienna’s young cousin, Gabbie. In the final scene, Sienna promises to rescue Gabbie and finally stop Art once and for all.
There’s still no set release date or time frame for Terrifier 4.
