Art the Clown might have his last killing spree in “Terrifier 4.”
Damien Leone, the writer and director of the brutal film series, told Variety that he thinks the “Terrifier” story will finally end.
There’s no clear answer yet on how many more ‘Terrifier’ films I’ll make before the story ends, I don’t think it will go beyond one or two more movies, but we’ll have to wait and see. What I can say for sure is that I know how it ends, and it’s going to be amazing.
Leone shared with Variety.
“Terrifier 3” hit No. 1 in North America over the weekend, making $18.3 million in its opening. The movie brings back David Howard Thornton as the evil Art the Clown, who causes chaos and destroys bodies during the Christmas season.

“Terrifier 3” has gotten good feedback from both critics and viewers, with a “B” on CinemaScore and 76% on Rotten Tomatoes so far. Variety’s top film critic, Owen Gleiberman, wrote in his review,
‘Terrifier 3’ takes ‘extreme’ to a new level and has a clever twist. It turns Art the Clown into a fake Santa Claus who causes chaos during Christmas, which plays right into what fans expect from the series.

Before the release of “Terrifier 3,” Leone talked to Variety about the chainsaw-filled tribute to “Psycho” in the movie and hinted at the recently announced fourth chapter.
It will definitely be an epic battle and a great ending to the Art the Clown story, I have some really wild ideas in my mind for the next film, but I can’t share too much yet. Some truly crazy things will happen in the next one.
