For months, Ted Lasso fans have hoped for a fourth season, especially after star Nick Mohammed hinted at a possible return for one of Apple TV+’s biggest shows. Many believed Season 3 was the end, as it saw AFC Richmond split up and Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) return to America to be with his family. However, Mohammed’s video sparked speculation that the team could reunite for another legendary comeback. But until now, nothing was official.
A new update from the Writers Guild of America directory has added an official listing for Ted Lasso Season 4. While Apple TV+ hasn’t made an official announcement, this suggests that Nick Mohammed’s earlier hint was more significant than expected. The update also confirms that Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, and Brett Goldstein will return as producers for the fourth season.
Warner Bros. Television and Apple TV+ have yet to officially confirm details about Ted Lasso Season 4. However, reports from 2024 suggested that Apple TV+ was looking to bring back Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent and Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton. Given how Season 3 ended, their return would make sense. The biggest uncertainty remains whether Jason Sudeikis will reprise his role as Ted Lasso.

The official WGA update only confirms one more season of Ted Lasso, but there’s a strong chance the show could continue beyond that. Moe Jeudy-Lamour, who plays Thierry Zoreaux, recently hinted in an interview that Ted Lasso might return for three more seasons. “All I know is that they’ve signed for, I believe, three more seasons,” he revealed. However, like Season 4, Seasons 5 and 6 have yet to be confirmed by Apple TV+.
There has also been speculation about possible Ted Lasso spin-offs, though Apple TV+ hasn’t announced anything official (noticing a pattern here?). In a recent interview, Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) dismissed the idea of Keeley joining any spin-offs. To her, the Ted Lasso cast feels like a team, and doing a separate show without the core group wouldn’t feel right. She explained:
The idea of a spin-off with Ted Lasso is a complicated one for me because it so feels like a team that I don’t know if I would want to do a spin-off. I don’t want to be a part of it if everybody else isn’t. It’s a team. It’s a real team!
