Fans of Ted Lasso might still get a fourth season of the popular Apple TV+ show. Juno Temple, who played Keeley Jones, recently shared an exciting update about the possibility of Season 4.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Temple revealed she had heard rumors about it.
I’ve heard the kind of stunt version of, yeah, potentially, it sounds like there might be a season 4, I don’t know when. I don’t know exactly who, what, why, where, but I think it sounds like those cogs are turning.
she said
If Season 4 happens, Temple hinted that it would continue the main story rather than focus on just a few characters.
The idea of a spinoff with Ted Lasso is a complicated one for me, because it so feels like a team that I don’t know if I would want to do a spinoff,
she explained
I don’t want to be a part of it if everybody else isn’t. It’s a team. It’s a real team!
Temple made it clear she’d only return if the whole cast came back

Ted Lasso, created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly, first aired on Apple TV+ in August 2020. The story follows Ted Lasso, played by Sudeikis, an upbeat American college football coach who unexpectedly gets hired to coach an English soccer team.

The club’s owner secretly hopes his lack of experience will lead the team to fail. However, Ted’s positive attitude and leadership surprise everyone as he helps AFC Richmond achieve second place in the Premier League during his final season as coach.
The show features a talented cast, including Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, and Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, along with other memorable characters.

Although Ted Lasso was originally planned as a three-season series, discussions about a fourth season started even before Season 3 aired on Apple TV+. By August 2024, talks gained momentum, with reports suggesting Warner Bros. Television was close to approving another season. At that time, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift were confirmed to return. Warner Bros. was also working on deals with Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt.
Phil Dunster, who played the confident and talented striker Jamie Tartt, is reportedly not coming back due to scheduling conflicts with other projects. On the other hand, Nick Mohammed hinted that filming for the new season might begin soon. In a social media video, he mentioned rescheduling his Show Pony comedy tour because of filming commitments. While he didn’t specifically name Ted Lasso, he held up the show’s famous “BELIEVE” sign, hinting at its return.
All three seasons of Ted Lasso are currently streaming on Apple TV+.
