Stanley Tucci is getting lots of praise for his role in the hit movie Conclave. But many Marvel fans still remember him as Dr. Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger from 2011.
According to Variety, Stanley Tucci talked about his time playing Dr. Abraham Erskine in the first Captain America movie. He also mentioned working on the indie film Supernova by Harry Macqueen. Tucci said he felt sad for the director because the “amazing” film didn’t get the awards it deserved.

Stanley Tucci got to revisit his Captain America role in the animated series What If…?, which shows how things in the Marvel Universe could have happened differently. Recently, he starred in movies like The King’s Man and Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and he appeared in the spy action series Citadel.
Up next, Tucci will join Marvel stars Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Anthony Mackie, and Giancarlo Esposito in Netflix’s new movie The Electric State, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who also made the Avengers films.
In his new movie Conclave, Stanley Tucci plays Cardinal Aldo Bellini, working alongside Ralph Fiennes, who plays Cardinal Thomas Lawrence. The story is about Lawrence leading a meeting to choose the next pope while investigating the candidates.
The movie won Best Screenplay at the Golden Globe Awards and tied with Wicked for the most Critics’ Choice Award nominations, with 11 in total. It has a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes and earned over $69 million, even though it cost $20 million to make.
You can watch Captain America: The First Avenger on Disney+, and Tucci’s movie Conclave is streaming on Peacock.
