The 14th edition of the yearly charity game, featuring England against a World XI team of celebrities and former footballers, raised an impressive £15 million for the children’s charity UNICEF.
World XI won 5-4 after Big Zuu hit the winner. They were trailing 0-3 by the end of the first half before making a remarkable comeback, with former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez scoring four times and leading World XI to victory, with Big Zuu helping late in the game.

England’s four goals were all from former international players. Ex-Tottenham star Jermain Defoe scored twice, while former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and Manchester City’s Toni Duggan added one each to give England a 2-0 lead early in the game.
The big crowd enjoyed seeing many celebrities take part in the charity game. Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, YouTuber Angry Ginge, The Last Of Us actor Bella Ramsey, Gladiators’ Diamond, Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, and comedian Richard Gadd all received loud cheers.

Tomlinson was warmly welcomed by fans every time he touched the ball, but the loudest applause went to Angry Ginge.
Ginge was also named player of the match after a great defensive display, including a goal-saving move against Brazilian legend Rivaldo. The World XI defender was part of a social media joke with fans jokingly asking if Ginge could join Manchester United after their poor Premier League season. Interestingly, Big Zuu, who scored the final goal, was working as a pundit for the charity match until halftime and predicted, “he would score when steps on the field.”
The rapper and TV star scored with just five minutes left, getting past comedian and presenter Paddy McGuinness, who was playing as goalkeeper. Big Zuu then did the famous “siuuu” celebration.
I don’t care if it’s Paddy, I don’t care if it’s David James, I don’t care if it’s Joe Hart. No likey, no lighty,
the popular figure said after the game while speaking with presenter Alex Scott.
