Apple TV+ announced that its hit series Silo will return for a third and fourth season, which will also be the final chapters of the story. Rebecca Ferguson will come back as Juliette Nichols, the engineer trying to uncover the silo’s secrets. Both seasons will be filmed back-to-back, with Ferguson spending the next year underground to finish the story.
On Empire Magazine’s Pilot TV podcast, Rebecca Ferguson spoke with host James Dyer and Apple CEO Tim Cook, showing just how much Apple cares about Silo. Dyer asked Ferguson if she was ready for seasons 3 and 4 to be filmed at the same time.
Ferguson had guessed this might happen earlier this year when talking to Collider’s Steve Weintraub. She admitted it would be a “long old year” and shared more thoughts:
I’ve planned out my home life, even adding Pilates with a reformer on set. It’s amazing to be part of something like this. The books already set the story’s length, so we all knew how far it could go. The real question was whether people would enjoy it. Seeing how much the audience loves it feels like a big win for everyone involved. I’m thrilled to work on seasons three and four. Even if it takes a while, I’m ready and excited for the journey.
When the show was officially renewed for its last two seasons, Rebecca Ferguson shared how happy she feels playing Juliette. She also said she’s excited to finish telling Juliette’s story.

I’ve loved every moment of playing Juliette and feel so proud of what we’ve created with Silo since the beginning. I’ve always been passionate about telling the full story from Hugh Howey’s books, and it’s amazing to see how much people around the world love the show. With Apple, Graham, and our incredible cast and crew, I’m excited to start working on the last two seasons that will wrap up this dystopian story in a meaningful way.
