Great news for fans of Shrinking! The show is officially back in production for Season 3. It looks like Jimmy is up to his usual antics again.
This exciting update was shared by Christa Miller, who posted about returning to work, and by Harrison Ford, who talked about playing Paul again and how the fires affected their sets. Now, fans are celebrating because one of Apple TV+’s best shows is getting closer to returning to our screens.
It’s been nearly two months since Shrinking ended its emotional Season 2, and fans have been waiting for Season 3. The show was renewed fast, and now filming has officially begun. To celebrate, Liz actress Christa Miller shared a cute behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram.

As she said, filming is “underway,” so get excited, everyone! Hopefully, this means season 3 will come out late in the 2025 TV schedule, but we won’t know yet. I’ll take any news I can get, though, and knowing that one of my favourite casts is back together made me happy.
To make things even better, but also a little sad, Harrison Ford talked to The AP about returning to work. Like Miller—funny enough, her character Liz and Ford’s Paul have been compared before, which makes this even cooler—he seems excited to return. However, Shrinking was also affected by the wildfires, as the 1923 star explained.
We lost several of our sets, but to us they were sets. To other people it was their homes, they were their livings, their lives and it’s a terrible tragedy. But we’re going back there to shoot and hopefully to bring some economic opportunities back to that area. But we’ve all got to concentrate on bringing our brothers and sisters through this.
It’s really sad that they lost their sets, but Ford is right—the real concern should be for the people who lost their homes. Thankfully, it sounds like Shrinking will try to help those people during filming, which makes the news about Season 3 even more exciting.
So, time to do the happy dance!
