Some fun new information have been revealed about Tim Miller’s upcoming series Secret Level! This adult-themed show brings fresh stories set in the worlds of some of the most popular video games.
One of the stories takes place in the world of the classic game Pac-Man, but it’s a lot darker than what we’re used to. In this version, the ghosts have turned into scary, carnivorous monsters!
When I tell people about it, I say, ‘This is our bloodiest episode yet.’ And they get excited, saying, ‘Wow, I can’t wait!’

Series writer JT Petty told EW,
We spent a lot of time trying to honor Pac-Man’s 50-year history and worked on retro, cute cartoon-style ideas. But then Dave and I thought, ‘What if we made a darker, more intense version of Pac-Man? What would that look like?’
The story follows a man (voiced by Aleks Le) who wakes up inside a water tank with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Aleks Le explained in an email that this character is like a newborn baby in how he sees the world, but he can move and act like an adult.
The man only knows one thing: a round robot is floating in front of him. This robot, called Puck (named after Pac-Man’s original name, Puck-Man), is voiced by Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian. Puck tells the man that he’s “the Chosen One” and is meant to escape the maze they’re stuck in.
It’s unclear if Puck can be trusted or if there’s more to this world than what he’s told the man. Puck leads the man to a sword, which he uses to cut through jungles and empty deserts, hoping to find a way to escape.

That sounds like it’s going to be exciting! The Pac-Man episode was teased in the latest trailer. The series is made by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, the creators of Love, Death + Robots. It features 15 amazing episodes with incredible animation that will blow your mind.

Each episode of Secret Level takes you on a new adventure, exploring worlds from classic games and some new ones that everyone is excited about.
Here’s a list of the games that inspired the 15 amazing stories in the series: Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, PlayStation (featuring popular PlayStation Studios games), Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, and Warhammer 40,000.
The voice cast includes big stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator), Kevin Hart (Jumanji), Keanu Reeves (John Wick), Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate), Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett, Chief of War), and Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie).
Other actors in the cast are Patrick Schwarzenegger (The White Lotus), Heaven Hart, Emily Swallow (The Mandalorian), Ricky Whittle (American Gods, Land of Bad), Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us), Claudia Doumit (The Boys), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, The Union), Clive Standen (Vikings, The Morning Show), Laura Bailey (The Legend of Vox Machina), and Michael Beach (Tulsa King).
Secret Level will be available only on Prime Video starting December 10.
