Rafferty shares that she and Patrick J. Adams have a lot to discuss on their new “Suits” podcast.
Sarah Rafferty and Patrick J. Adams are reuniting the Suits cast for a rewatch podcast, and they’ve added Meghan Markle to their dream guest list.
“Everyone’s invited, and they’ve all been supportive,”
Rafferty told Entertainment Weekly when asked if Meghan Markle had been invited to the Suits rewatch podcast on SiriusXM’s Sidebar.
It’s incredible. I was just texting one of our directors, Mike Smith. Rachael Harris left some comments during our Instagram Live this morning, and she’s excited for Sheila Sazs to join the show. I’m also looking forward to chatting with Max Beesley and the British actors we worked with.

Hosted by Adams and Rafferty, the new podcast marks the first time they’ve watched Suits, where they played Mike Ross and Donna Paulsen. They’ll go over episodes, share behind-the-scenes stories, and interview cast and crew, starting with Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson) and showrunner Aaron Korsh. Rafferty is especially excited to invite people from different departments like wardrobe and set design.
Everyone tells the story from a different perspective, and it takes so many people to create a show, I think that’s really interesting. There are so many things to discuss, like, ‘How did you pick that song?’ All those details.
she says
USA Network’s Suits starred Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a conman who became a lawyer and protégé to Gabriel Macht’s character, Harvey Specter, at a top law firm in New York. The legal drama aired from 2011 to 2019 and featured actors like Rick Hoffman and Meghan Markle, who later became the Duchess of Sussex after marrying Prince Harry.

In 2023, the show became popular again when the first eight seasons were added to Netflix, breaking streaming records and staying on top of Nielsen’s charts for months. The ninth season and the spinoff Pearson are available on Peacock, and a new spinoff, Suits: L.A., is now in production.
“When the show became popular again during the strike, we were all wondering, ‘What does this even mean?’ It was hard to process, That’s one of the reasons we decided to do the podcast. It’s a chance to reflect on what Suits has meant to us and the viewers.”
Rafferty explains
Rafferty noticed Suits was becoming more popular when people in America started talking to her about the show, something that used to happen only in Canada where they filmed.
That was the big change, One of the funniest moments was when I was at a theme park with my kids. They were getting a picture with Poppy from Trolls, and since the actor in the costume couldn’t talk, they used hand gestures.
she says
She used her big puffy hands to ‘sign’ that she knew me from Suits. Then, she even did the Donna walk and made heart shapes with her hands. It was the funniest interaction I’ve ever had, all while staying completely silent.
Laughing, Rafferty adds,

Rafferty shares that Adams first thought of doing a Suits rewatch podcast during the pandemic, long before the show’s recent popularity surge.
When the resurgence happened during the strike, it sped up our talks about the podcast
she says.
She admits she didn’t watch the show while it aired because life was too hectic.
I was having my kids, moving between Toronto and L.A., and filming. I never had time to stop and take it all in, Now that I’m finally watching it, I’m fangirling. I missed so much because we were busy shooting, and that’s why doing the podcast is so fun.
Rafferty explains
Though just a few episodes into the podcast, Rafferty says she’s loving the process and often catches herself texting her co-stars about episodes instead of saving those talks for the show.
Rafferty shares that while watching Suits, she took a screenshot and texted it to Gina Torres, asking her questions like, “Where did you shoot that? Do you remember that day?” They chatted through text, and Gina replied, “I can just meet you at the studio, and we can talk in front of some microphones.” A few days later, Gina joined Rafferty and Adams for an amazing conversation.
We’re excited to do the same with everyone who worked on the show.
Rafferty adds,
Rafferty is already facing the biggest challenge of binge-watching with someone else—waiting to watch the next episode with Adams.
When we finish an episode, we have to stop so we can talk about it, Patrick and I both want to keep clicking ‘next.’ I haven’t told him yet, but I’ve watched about 10 to 15 minutes of the next episode because I just can’t help it.
she explains
It sounds like something Donna would do!
