Netflix announced new cast members for The Sandman’s second season, including Jack Gleeson, known for his role as King Joffrey in Game of Thrones, who will play a new villainous character.
In The Sandman’s second season, Jack Gleeson will appear as Puck, a hobgoblin from the original comics. Joining him are new actors like Ann Skelly (from The Nevers), Clive Russell (known from Game of Thrones), Douglas Booth (from Jupiter Ascending), Freddie Fox (from The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare), Indya Moore (from Moon Girl and Devi Dinosaur), Laurence O’Fuarain (from The Witcher: Blood Origin), Ruairi O’Connor (from The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), and Steve Coogan (from the Despicable Me movies).
The new cast members have been given their roles: Jack Gleeson will play Puck, a mischievous hobgoblin who serves as the royal jester to King Auberon of Faerie. Puck loves teasing mortals for fun.
Freddie Fox will portray Loki, the god of chaos. Loki is a clever and charming shapeshifter who is incredibly smart and dangerous. He can change his appearance and is always captivating, but you can never trust him.
O’Connor will play Orpheus, the son of Dream and Calliope. Orpheus is an idealistic and romantic young man who takes after his father until a tragic event changes his understanding of love. O’Fuarain is Thor, the storm god who wields the hammer Mjollnir. He’s described as rough, impolite, and driven by his strong desires—for food, drink, battle, and romance.

Russell will play Odin, Loki’s brother, and Thor’s father. Odin has been a longtime ally of Dream’s, but he faces tough choices as he tries to prevent Ragnarök.
Moore has been cast as Wanda, a skilled driver and security agent for a unique travel company. Wanda becomes an invaluable guide on a journey with the Endless to the real world.
Coogan is voicing Barnabas, the loyal canine companion of the Endless’s brother. Barnabas is loving but outspoken, serving as man’s best friend and harshest critic.
Skelly portrays Nuala, and Booth portrays Cluracan, royal messengers from the Faerie court. Nuala is responsible and caring and stands by her principles. Cluracan, on the other hand, is a daring and pleasure-seeking rogue. Despite their differences, they strongly bond and always support each other.
