Prime Video subscribers can’t get enough of Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher. Amazon has confirmed that Reacher Season 3 debuted to its largest audience yet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, internal Amazon data shows that Season 3 attracted 54.6 million viewers worldwide within 19 days of its February 20 premiere. This marks a slight increase from Season 2 over the same period, making Reacher Season 3 the biggest returning series in Prime Video’s history. With nine months left in 2025, it remains to be seen whether Season 3 will claim the top spot as Prime Video’s most-watched title across all movies and series for the year—a title Season 2 held in 2023.
Reacher is based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher book series, which was first adapted into a two-film franchise by Paramount Pictures, starring Tom Cruise as the titular drifter. After plans for a third film were scrapped, Amazon announced in 2019 that a series adaptation was in development.
The show premiered in 2022, with Season 1 adapting Killing Floor, the first novel in the series. Season 2, which aired from December 2023 to January 2024, was based on the eleventh book, Bad Luck and Trouble.

Season 3 brings Persuader—the seventh and a fan-favorite novel—to the screen. Set in Maine, the story follows Reacher as he goes undercover to rescue an informant from a dangerous figure from his past. Alan Ritchson leads an ensemble of mostly new cast members, though Maria Sten returns in a recurring role as Frances Neagley, Reacher’s trusted friend and former army comrade.
The Reacher Season 3 cast also features Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, Brian Tee as Quinn, Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, Olivier Richters as Paulie, Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, Robert Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva, and Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot, along with several others.
With Reacher continuing to draw massive viewership on Prime Video, it’s no surprise the streamer granted the action drama an early renewal for Season 4. Additionally, a spinoff series centered on Neagley is in the works.
Announced in October 2024, Neagley follows the titular private investigator as she seeks justice after a close friend dies under suspicious circumstances. According to the official logline,
Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
The final two episodes of Reacher Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on March 20 and March 27.
