Race Across the World star Sioned Cray has spoken about her relationship with Fin Gough and shared a personal admission.

The Welsh pair took part in the fifth season of the popular BBC show this year, which challenged five teams to travel from the Great Wall of China to the southern tip of India. Without mobile phones or bank cards, the contestants had to rely only on a small cash allowance to compete for the £20,000 prize.

Sisters Elizabeth and Letitia arrived just 19 minutes later, while Fin and Sioned came third, finishing ahead of brothers Brian and Melvyn, reports Plymouth Live. Speaking on the red carpet at the National Television Awards on September 10, Sioned said the experience brought her and Fin closer.
We’re definitely closer after it. You don’t have a phone, you’re with each other 24/7. There’s no break. If you’re on a bus, you’re side by side for 12/13 hours, so you kind of grow closer together. We’ve not really been apart a lot since.
she said, and Fin added, and then Sioned also said
She recalled her toughest moment on the show, which came when they first reached India.
During filming, Sioned became emotional after seeing young children living without homes on the streets of Varanasi.
I think it was very evident on camera that [my hardest moment] was entering India. It was really tough for me, just mad on the senses. But Fin helped me through that.
she explained
Despite the difficulties, the couple said they would love to take part in the show again if given the chance.
At the time, if you had asked me that, I would have said no but now that I’ve been back and settled down, I’d love to go on again. We’re one big family.
