Pete Davidson made a rare public appearance on December 16, stepping out at the All In: Comedy About Love By Simon Rich gala performance in New York City.
The King of Staten Island star, who has been keeping a low profile for over a year, turned heads with his clean, refreshed look. Sporting a buzz cut, black trousers, a black shirt, and a terracotta leather jacket, the comedian showcased his latest tattoo-free appearance, a result of years of laser removal treatments.
This marks Davidson’s first major red carpet moment since June 2023, when he attended the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts premiere. Inside the event, he was seen mingling with fellow comedian John Mulaney.

Since leaving Saturday Night Live in 2022, the 31-year-old has taken a step back from the spotlight to reassess his life and priorities. In a recent interview with W Magazine published December 12, Davidson explained how his focus has shifted.
When I was 19, it was all about the ’fit—that was all that mattered. Now it’s health, family, humility, being a good person, not being a drug addict. Stuff like that.

Reflecting on his journey, Davidson shared that a recent personal awakening helped him realign his values.
Luckily, I got hit on the face with the Hollywood shovel. It was a long time coming, and I needed it. I’m very happy where I am right now, mentally.
he said
Davidson also addressed misconceptions surrounding his highly-publicized dating history, which includes relationships with Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, and Chase Sui Wonders.
I don’t want to be this fucking loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am. But people hate celebrities now.
he admitted
Before adding that the intense media attention turned out to be “a blessing.”
It allowed me to take a step back and evaluate things. What do you want to be? Who are you? I’m someone who is from Staten Island, wanted to do stand-up, and if I got to do anything else because of stand-up, it was a miracle.

As Davidson continues to focus on his well-being and career, his red carpet return proves he’s ready to reclaim his space in Hollywood, on his own terms.
