Production for Netflix’s Peaky Blinders movie began late last month, and the cast continues to grow. Along with Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth, Stephen Graham has officially joined the film, as first reported by Deadline. Graham, who played Hayden Stagg in Season 6 of the series, returns to the Peaky Blinders world. The cast also includes more familiar faces and one new addition.
Sophie Rundle, who played Ada in Peaky Blinders, is returning for the movie. Ada is the sister of Tommy Shelby, the character led by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy. In the series finale, Tommy gave control of the family business to Ada.
Ned Dennehy, who played Charlie Strong, Packy Lee, known as Johnny Dogs, and Ian Peck, who was Curly, have all signed up for the Peaky Blinders movie, directed by Tom Harper. Joining them is Jay Lycurgo, new to the Peaky cast, who recently finished filming the Netflix movie Steve with Cillian Murphy.

It’s still unclear if some of the well-known cast members from the TV series will be in the movie. This includes Paul Anderson, who played Arthur Shelby, Kate Phillips, who played Linda Shelby, Conrad Khan, who played Duke Shelby, and Tom Hardy, who played Alfie Solomons. None of them have been confirmed yet.
Details about the new roles in the movie are being kept secret. The six-season BBC drama ended in April 2022, but Tommy’s story isn’t over yet. We don’t know much about the film’s plot, except that it takes place during World War II. Creator Steven Knight recently said,
I’m excited to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war, and so are our Peaky Blinders.
The continuation of the story is written by Steven Knight, who produces the film with Patrick Holland, Cillian Murphy, and Guy Heeley. The executive producers are Tom Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Caryn Mandabach, and Andrew Warren. The movie will be made in partnership with BBC Film.
