After a brief hiatus, One Piece is officially back and even earlier than expected. The long-running anime will resume its Egghead Arc on April 6, with Crunchyroll confirming that new episodes will stream simultaneously with their Japanese release.
The Egghead Arc marks a pivotal moment in the series, as it sets the stage for One Piece’s “Final Saga.” While the anime’s conclusion is still years away, creator Eiichiro Oda has hinted that the manga won’t wrap up before 2027. Given the anime’s current pacing lagging behind the manga by over 100 chapters the series could continue airing until at least 2030.
The hiatus, first announced in October, was expected, though no official reason was given. However, many speculate the break was necessary due to the show’s intense production schedule, which often puts heavy strain on the animation team.

One Piece Expands With English Dub and Live-Action Updates
Fans of the English-dubbed version also have something to celebrate. Crunchyroll revealed that episodes 1109-1122, along with One Piece Specials 14-16, will be available in English as early as next week.
Meanwhile, updates on Netflix’s One Piece live-action series remain uncertain. Although filming for Season 2 has wrapped and a first-look image has been released, the show’s extensive practical and CGI effects could delay its return past 2025. Netflix has yet to confirm an official premiere date, though reports suggest that Season 3 is already in development.
For now, anime fans can mark their calendars One Piece returns with new episodes on April 6, exclusively on Crunchyroll.
