Olivia Attwood has broken her silence on the growing buzz surrounding her ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes and singer JoJo Siwa’s increasingly close friendship on Celebrity Big Brother.
Hughes, 32, and Siwa, 21, have drawn attention from fans after developing a strong bond inside the house. While Siwa is openly gay and in a committed relationship, their on-screen chemistry has sparked speculation, with some viewers questioning whether their dynamic hints at deeper feelings or clever gameplay.
The pair’s connection has included light-hearted moments like Hughes tickling Siwa’s back while they laughed in bed, as well as a recent rule-breaking incident where Siwa wrote secret messages on Hughes’ hand using her finger. The breach led to punishment during the episode aired Tuesday (15 April), with both being forced to use megaphones for all communication.

Attwood, who dated Hughes after meeting him on Love Island in 2017, addressed the online chatter on the KISS Breakfast Show she co-hosts with Pete Wicks.
I’m getting tagged in thousands [of comments] because obviously Chris and I used to date. We’re going back like six or seven years, but we did.
she said.
The clips look like there could be something there. But I guess it’s how you interpret it.
she admitted.

The internet is going two ways – the internet is going that there’s something there, there might be feelings from one side or the other. The other side of the internet is asking is Chris playing the game – she has a lot of followers, she’s very famous…
she continued.
Speculation around the duo has also spilled over into the house dynamics, with some accusing fellow contestant Ella Rae Wise of acting jealous of Siwa and Hughes’ friendship.
Online, the debate continues. While some fans argue the pair are “playing the game,” others see the relationship as completely platonic. One viewer wrote: “If the roles were reversed and it was a gay man and a straight woman, people would see this as a cute friendship. This is normal and not everything revolves around sexual attraction!”
Meanwhile, Hughes’ brother Ben Hughes offered his own take during an appearance on Lorraine earlier this week.
I actually think that maybe they’ve formed a great friendship due to the fact that Chris stood up for JoJo. I think JoJo is in a solid relationship, Chris will know that, and I just think that they’ve got each other’s backs.
he said.
JoJo Siwa recently made headlines for confronting Mickey Rourke over a homophobic comment made inside the house, during which Hughes publicly defended her. Rourke has since been removed from the show.
