MTV has officially ended one of its longest-running shows. Ridiculousness, the viral clip comedy hosted by Rob Dyrdek, has been canceled after 14 years and more than 900 episodes, TMZ reports.
According to sources, the cast and crew were informed this week that the current season will be the last. The decision reportedly came directly from MTV’s top executives.
The series went dark in July and was slated to return in January, but instead, previously produced episodes will continue airing through 2026. No new episodes will be made.
Despite the cancellation, older seasons will remain on MTV and continue streaming on Paramount+, ensuring fans can still revisit the show’s funniest viral moments.
The move comes amid major changes following the Paramount–Skydance merger, which has led to company-wide layoffs and a push to “reimagine MTV” with new creative voices and fresh programming.
Ridiculousness premiered in 2011 and became a cornerstone of MTV’s lineup, featuring Dyrdek, Steelo Brim, and Lauren “Lolo” Wood, with Chanel West Coast co-hosting until her 2023 departure.
