Following the release of its fourth season earlier this year, the cosy crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries is officially returning this December with a feature-length Christmas special. This marks the show’s fourth consecutive festive special, continuing the tradition started in 2022.
The special will reunite the full main cast, including Sally Lindsay, Steve Edge, Sue Holderness, Robin Askwith, Alex Gaumond, Sue Vincent, and Tony Robinson.
The upcoming special is set to be feature-length, as confirmed in a post on the show’s official Instagram page. The announcement read:
Some extra special news this morning, as we can reveal that this Christmas we’ll be heading to Sainte Victoire for the first ever feature-length episode of The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Jean White (@sallylindsay73) is back to what she does best – and let’s just say, she’s as excited as we are.
Sally Lindsay also shared her excitement, stating:
This year’s Christmas special has been a true labour of love from our lot. Sue and I wanted all the brilliant elements of what makes a Christmas film but it to remain very Madame Blanc. We are all thrilled with the results. Merry Christmas!
The show’s renewal was first revealed as part of a broader announcement highlighting several new and returning dramas on Channel 5.
