Macaulay Culkin, who starred in Home Alone, is traveling across the country to show the movie and answer questions from fans. At a recent event in Illinois, he shared a funny behind-the-scenes story: while rehearsing a scene where Joe Pesci’s character, Harry, threatens Kevin, Joe accidentally bit Macaulay’s finger for real!
He was trying to scare me,’ Culkin recounted. Thinking it would help the robber-victim dynamic, ‘he was like, I want to be menacing to this kid.’ Once, rehearsing a scene in which Pesci’s Harry is threatening to bite off Kevin’s fingers, he inadvertently took it too far and really chomped Culkin. ‘I have a scar,’ he said. While Joe Pesci tried to scare Macaulay Culkin while making Home Alone, Catherine O’Hara, who played Kevin’s mom, was the complete opposite.

She has always been like a real mom to him. Culkin shared that he still calls O’Hara “mom” when they meet, and she always hugs him and says, “Son.”
Last year, Culkin got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and O’Hara gave a sweet speech about him. The two actors also played their characters again in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
