The reality TV dating series aired much later than scheduled on Tuesday, June 3, on Peacock.
Love Island USA had fans on edge during the premiere of its seventh season.
The Peacock reality dating show was set to launch on Tuesday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, but didn’t arrive on time. Just a minute after the scheduled release, Peacock posted an update on X, saying there would be a brief delay.
“WE GOT A TEXT! 👀 Tonight’s episode will be slightly delayed. But it is worth the wait ❤️🔥🏝 Stay tuned! #LoveIslandUSA,” the message read.
That brief delay eventually extended to 40 minutes. Meanwhile, viewers in Canada noted that the premiere episode was already available to stream on CTV despite the holdup.

Many users took to X to share their frustration. “the love island delay was straight evil,” one person wrote, while another joked, “i survived the great love island delay of 2025.”
Another user added, “Peacock playin with this delay of Love Island. #LoveIslandUSA.”
A different post read, “40 minute delay is CRAZYYYY count ur days peacock and love island u better make sure this first episode is worth it or im comin over there.”
Almost 45 minutes after the scheduled premiere time, the streamer finally confirmed the episode was live. “Thank you for your patience! The #LoveIslandUSA episode is officially live now. Enjoy the premiere 💖,” Peacock shared in another X update.
Eventually, the season premiere kicked off by introducing the first 10 Islanders.
Peacock revealed the cast on Thursday, May 29: Huda Mustafa, Olandria Carthen, Belle-A Walker, Yulissa Escobar, and Chelley Bissainthe are the first five girls entering the Fiji villa. They’re joined by Nicolas Vansteenberghe, Taylor Williams, Austin Shepard, Ace Green, and Jeremiah Brown.
Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix returns as host, alongside the show’s iconic narrator, Iain Stirling.
Love Island USA season 7 airs daily—except Wednesdays—at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
