When Love Island USA Season 7 started earlier this month, fans had mixed feelings. Season 6 was so strong that many didn’t think it could be topped.
With its brutal breakups, awkward challenges, and one of the wildest Casa Amor experiences ever, last season seemed hard to beat in terms of drama and entertainment. But now, after two weeks of nonstop action, Season 7 is starting to deliver just as much chaos, if not more. Episode 10 especially took things up a notch with a twist never seen before—fans got to vote for three islanders to pair up with new bombshells, and the results were shocking.
America voted for Olandria Carthen to pair with Jalen Brown and for Hannah Fields to match with Pepe Garcia, leaving Taylor Williams and Charlie Georgiou single. But the most unexpected moment was when fans chose Iris Kendall to couple up with Jeremiah Brown, leaving Huda Mustafa without a partner.

This surprised most islanders since they saw Jeremiah and Huda as the strongest couple, but fans wanted them apart because they felt Huda was getting too serious too quickly. Her constant talk about being a mom also stirred drama, as Jeremiah wasn’t sure how he felt about possibly becoming a father.

After the recoupling, the remaining single islanders had to vote one person out, creating even more chaos in the Villa. Just like Anderea Carmona’s dramatic exit in Season 6, no one wanted to send their friend home, but in the end, they voted Charlie off the show. His exit caused even more drama, especially since some of the boys thought Huda should have been sent home instead. Fans were also questioning her connection with Jeremiah.
Hannah was especially upset, as she felt a real bond with Charlie, even though she had started exploring things with Pepe. Meanwhile, Jeremiah came under fire from the other guys, and Huda also lashed out at him, making viewers feel bad for the male model. Some thought Jeremiah should’ve been more open to new connections, while Huda spent the next day angrily blaming him for not comforting her after she was left single.
While Season 6 had its fair share of iconic moments during Casa Amor or Movie Night, Season 7 is now setting a new bar for drama and unpredictability. It may match Season 6 in excitement, but whether the current cast will become breakout stars like Leah Kateb, Kaylor Martin, and Rob Rausch is still uncertain. Those past contestants have gone beyond just being reality stars—they’ve become beloved personalities, which is something earlier seasons didn’t always produce.
Season 7 is on track to make stars of its own, even if it’s too early to say if they’ll reach the same fame. Still, with record-breaking ratings and high social media buzz, this season is off to a very strong start.
Many reality shows struggle to stay exciting after a standout season—like Survivor after “Winners At War” or American Idol after Simon Cowell left—but Love Island USA is showing it’s more than just a one-hit wonder. While most shows peak in their early years, Love Island USA, which began in 2019, is finally keeping fans hooked year after year. If Seasons 6 and 7 are any sign, the show has figured out the right formula to keep delivering fun, emotional, and must-watch reality TV for years to come.
