The talk around “Love Island USA” Season 7 is getting intense.
As the Peacock reality show keeps getting more popular this season, fans are growing more annoyed with the Islanders and their choices. Before Episode 20 on Tuesday, Peacock shared a “friendly reminder” that the cast members are “real people” and asked fans to “spread the love.”
We appreciate the fans, the passion for the series, and the amazing group of Islanders who are sharing their summer with us. Please just remember they’re real people — so let’s be kind and spread the love!

A lot of the negative posts came after the Islanders voted Jeremiah Brown and Hannah Fields out of the villa at the end of Sunday’s episode. The choices confused people both in and outside the villa since Hannah was one of the few forming a real bond with Pepe, and Jeremiah had just started getting to know the new bombshell Andreina.

Many viewers felt the votes were strategic, meant to remove strong competitors and make it easier for others to win the $100,000 prize. Much of the hate online has been aimed at Ace Greene, a current Islander who many believe was jealous or felt threatened by Jeremiah and is now controlling the villa.
Fans also complained that the Islanders are playing it too safe this season, keeping their options open instead of “locking in” with someone and building a stronger relationship. Episode 19 brought the start of Casa Amor — where Islanders split up and meet new bombshells — but since no strong couples have formed in Season 7, fans think it feels pointless.

Despite the backlash, the show’s ratings haven’t suffered. It was the No. 2 most-watched original streaming show the week of June 9 after its June 3 premiere on Peacock, and it stayed the No. 1 most-watched streaming reality show for the second week in a row, according to early Nielsen numbers.
