He also told news outlets that he doesn’t see “any romantic spark or connection” between Nic and Olandria following the Casa Amor twist.
Jeremiah Brown believes his kiss with Andreina Santos just before his elimination on Love Island USA may have made him an even bigger target.
In a surprising twist, Brown was sent home during Sunday night’s episode after a vote by the top three male islanders chosen by America — Ace Greene, Nic Vansteenberghe, and Taylor Williams. Having recently ended a toxic relationship with Huda Mustafa, Brown had begun forming a connection with Santos, a new bombshell who entered the villa and caught the attention of several islanders. He thinks their kiss right before the elimination played a key role in the decision.
We kissed twice, We kissed and then someone yelled out ‘Oh s–t,’ so we stopped and then we kissed again. Another person yelled out ‘Oh s–t,’ so we stopped, and it was literally like right before, like actually right before — we thought it was a recoupling.
Brown told TheWrap.
We’re like, ‘Oh, we’re good. Let’s recouple and continue to explore,’ but no. We saw them over there and I peeped them over there just hating. I just knew it. I seen it in their eyes.
He went on to say
When it was time for the elimination lineup, Brown stood alongside OG Islander Austin Shepard and early bombshell Jose “Pepe” Garcia-Gonzalez. At first, he felt confident he’d be safe and would get the chance to keep building his connection with Andreina, which had just started that day.
They didn’t like Pepe at first and he’s a Bombshell, They’re not going to pick an OG over a Bombshell. And then Austin, he’s amazing but he hasn’t found anything in three weeks.
Brown said.
Although America voted for their favorite islanders, the final decision on who would leave was made by those favorites — Greene, Vansteenberghe, and Williams. As soon as they stood up and began to speak, Brown had a feeling his time was up.
When we were waiting, I was just like ‘Bro, they might have like seen me hooping with the Bombshell,’ which I knew they kind of wanted to explore and we were already kissing, I was like ‘Damn, maybe they feel some type of way about that.’
he said
The second they started talking about, ‘Oh new habits or recreating new patterns or blah blah blah’ I was looking around and I’m like, ‘Am I cooked?’
Brown added

The vote stirred up backlash among fans, with many accusing Greene of manipulating the game, calling the shots, and eliminating anyone who could threaten his chances of winning the $100k prize — something that typically isn’t the main focus for contestants on the show. Others believed jealousy was behind the decision. Brown, however, leans more toward strategy.
I don’t know about jealousy but I’m leaning toward intimidation for sure, Just getting a good player out of the game.
he said.
Though Brown is still in Fiji without access to his phone, he’s been keeping tabs on the latest Casa Amor developments — including Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen being “eliminated,” only to remain part of the season in a still-unknown way.
While many fans online have shown support for that pairing, Brown didn’t think much of their bond. “I didn’t see them have any romantic type of spark or connection,” he said.
Love Island USA airs nightly on Peacock, except Wednesdays.
