She won over America’s heart, but now Vickala ‘KayKay’ Gray is back and ready to claim the crown as she gears up for Love Island Games. Earlier today, the official Love Island USA X account shared a video of Kay Kay talking about her mindset heading into the competition.
“We’re so back,” she exclaims with excitement. Since appearing on Season 5 in 2023, the traveling nurse reflected, “I grew a lot, I matured a lot.”
I’m here to win, I’m just hoping I can fall in love, and that man wants to win too.
When asked about her attributes, KayKay said, “Speed 10/10, mental 10/10 easily, I got that in the bag, strength 8/10.” She hopes others won’t see her as a strong competitor.
Honestly, I’m hoping people underestimate me because I’m only 4’11, I want them to be like ‘aw what a cute little girl’ and then I kill them in the challenges and they’re looking dumb.
What’s her strategy when it comes to coupling up? “I’m going to see what my coochie tells me, that’s definitely my super power.” What type of man is KayKay interested in? “I just love an accent yes. I do not like a nonchalant man, I need a man to chalant me.”
And her final words going into the competition? “I’m taking the glove offs, I’m here to win, let the games begin.”

Kay Kay was a day 1 Islander on Love Island USA Season 5, where she was coupled up with Keenan Anunay. On Day 24, Keenan was dumped from the island after a public vote left him vulnerable. Following his exit, Kay Kay felt there was no reason to remain without her partner. “I’ve found what I came here for,” she explained, before choosing to self-evict and leave the villa.
