Sony’s Kraven the Hunter is coming to theaters this December, and its official ScreenX poster is now out. The poster highlights the movie’s release date, December 13, 2024, and confirms that it will also be shown in ScreenX—a cool format that uses a 270-degree panoramic view for a more exciting experience.
The ScreenX poster shows Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, the main character in the movie. The poster adds splashes of blood and shows him holding a skull in one hand while making a fist with the other, hinting at the film’s intense and violent scenes. Kraven the Hunter is also Sony’s first Spider-Man Universe movie to get an R-rating, unlike Morbius, Madame Web, and the Venom movies. You can take a look at the new poster below:
The movie’s official description says, Kraven the Hunter is a thrilling R-rated film that tells the origin story of one of Marvel’s most famous villains. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose tough and complicated relationship with his cruel gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (played by Russell Crowe), sets him on a dangerous path of revenge. This journey pushes Kraven to become not only the world’s greatest hunter but also one of its most feared.
J.C. Chandor directed Kraven the Hunter with a script written by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway. The producers are Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter. The movie features Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Russell Crowe in lead roles, along with Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, and Christopher Abbott in the cast.
The report also mentioned that the movie was delayed a few times so the team could spend more time improving the characters and making the story better.
Taylor-Johnson, who will also appear in the movie Nosferatu later in December, shared why he wanted to play Kraven. He found the character more “realistic” than many other comic book characters and felt he could add something fresh and unique to the role.
