Since joining Made in Chelsea, Jasmine ‘Jazz’ Saunders has been entangled in numerous love triangles and emotionally complex situations—often involving a male friend harboring “unrequited feelings” for her.
Jack Taylor was one of those friends. He professed his love after season 28, but it was not reciprocated, as Jazz didn’t share the same sentiment. In the premiere of season 29—which opens with a glamorous full-cast getaway to the Maldives—we discover that Jack had been speaking to someone else during that period. That someone is now his girlfriend, “Livvy Barker”.
Unsurprisingly, this sparked a bit of a confrontation in the opening episode, as Jazz questioned how Jack could claim to have been in love with her while simultaneously dating the woman who would soon become his girlfriend.
It wasn’t very nice because it was a very quick turnaround. and I felt a bit blindsided, hence why I came in with so much sass and anger.

That’s all in the past now, though. Not only have Jazz and Jack rekindled their friendship, but she also shares a “really nice bond” with Livvy.
I support Jack with everything that he does and he supports me. It’s very wholesome and I’m really good friends with his girlfriend now. It’s funny how times change.
That narrative quickly took a back seat in episode two, when Jazz opened up to her friends and castmates about wanting to date women. After being photographed kissing ex-TOWIE star Demi Simms on the red carpet at the One Of Them Days premiere in early March, the duo have since gone public with their budding relationship—a development likely to unfold as the season continues.
Up until that moment, most of Jazz’s friends and family had no idea about her sexuality.
I wasn’t really going to share on social media. I was kind of waiting for this episode to come out, but then people put the pieces together.

Being thrust into the spotlight by online speculation and tabloid coverage couldn’t have been a smooth process—and certainly far from what anyone would hope for.
Yes, but then I think it forced me to have conversations. When the press released those pictures of Demi and I at the premiere, I hadn’t told my family we were seeing each other. None of my friends knew, Julia knew because I tell her everything, but it forced me to be like, ‘well, it’s everywhere now so this is it.’
Jazz confirms
Opening up to her friends in the Maldives wasn’t something Jazz had planned either.
We were mid-filming and we had an evening off and I was with Jules and Ruby and I’d had a few glasses, and I was so unhappy and told them [dating] wasn’t working for me. I was kind of hinting at it, but I didn’t say. Then Ruby was like, ‘what about girls?’ And I froze and just burst out crying. The next day, I told Lauren for the first time on camera which viewers witness during episode two. It’s been a long time that I’ve been doing things in secret and battling with it, battling with it on my own. It was literally only my sister who knew and I thought it would stay that way, honestly
Jazz gives credit to Ruby and Jules for creating a space where she felt safe to share. “If Ruby never asked me, who knows?”

It’s no shock that coming out has lifted a massive emotional burden. Jazz now considers herself a “different person” and says everyone close to her has noticed.
The change is crazy. I didn’t realise until I watched episode one and I was like, ‘okay I have a very different demeanour and how I look and everything.’ Since coming out, I’ve really been the best version of myself.
she says with a smile
Surreal on every level, Jazz not only shared her truth with her friends on national TV, but she’s been actively discovering this side of herself while filming season 29.
I’ve had the best season. I’ve been navigating this journey and filming it and also experiencing it for the first time. It’s a whole new era of dating. There are certain scenes that I’ve filmed this series that I will cherish forever. I’ll watch them back and keep them as memories because they’ve been really nice.
She says
Speaking about her connection with Demi, Jazz responds with a playful smile: “It’s new!” Though she tries to stay reserved, the excitement is clear.
She’s met the cast; she’s met a lot of her friends. She’s been in this world for a long time so if she were to join [the show], then I’m sure it would be fine. Their appearance together at the One Of Them Days premiere is likely just the beginning. We’re both very busy. I’m training for a marathon and I’ve got a strict schedule and she’s training for misfits boxing, so when we get invited to events we want to go and see each other because we need to make time for each other during the week. So every opportunity we just go. We didn’t think it would go as viral as it did, but we weren’t careful either.
Jazz laughs, adding
Could a double date with Made in Chelsea’s sweethearts Tristan and Jules be happening soon? It definitely seems possible.
They’re going so strong. You can just tell how in love they are with each other and they’re just so wholesome. They’re very well suited and I think people didn’t really see that but it’s so different now.
