Jay-Z and Diddy’s accuser has spoken out publicly for the first time regarding her allegations, admitting to “mistakes” in her account, leading Jay-Z to request the case be dismissed, TMZ has learned.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims she was 13 at the time of the alleged assault, which she says occurred after the 2000 MTV VMAs. In an interview with NBC News on Friday, she recounted the alleged events, including a limo ride to Diddy’s house and consuming a drink that left her feeling disoriented before the assault.
However, her story has faced scrutiny due to inconsistencies. For instance, she alleged speaking to Benji Madden at the after-party, but Madden denies being in New York City at the time. Additionally, she claimed her father picked her up afterward, but he does not recall that happening.
While the woman maintains that the assault occurred at an after-party at Diddy’s home, photos from that evening show both Diddy and Jay-Z at Lotus nightclub. The photos, however, do not account for their whereabouts the entire night.
Speaking to NBC, the accuser acknowledged the discrepancies but stood by her claim, stating, “Those flaws in the story don’t mean the rape didn’t happen.”
Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, responded swiftly, filing court documents to inform the judge of the new developments. In the filing, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Spiro described the case as “a sham,” asserting that, “Basic facts in her narrative — the who, what, when, and where — are wrong.” He added, “She admits she has no single corroborating witness.”

Spiro also accused the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of violating court rules, stating, “He almost certainly failed to undertake a reasonable inquiry into the facts before filing the complaint.” Spiro confirmed plans to file a motion to dismiss the case.
Diddy’s legal team echoed similar sentiments, saying, “Yesterday, a lawyer admitted that over 50 people falsely claimed to be victims. Today, for the second time this week, a Buzbee plaintiff has been exposed. This is the beginning of the end of the money grab.”
The case has drawn significant attention due to the high-profile figures involved. Both Jay-Z and Diddy have denied the allegations. Efforts to reach Buzbee for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
