Foxy Brown shared a series of cryptic Instagram posts shortly after her former mentor, Jay-Z, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000.
The “Get Me Home” rapper posted the words “WOW” and “WAIT” with a shocked face emoji on her Instagram Story Monday, as reported by the Daily Mail. She then added a cold face emoji in a separate post.
Brown, whose real name is Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, did not provide further context for the posts or directly reference the allegations. Reps for both Jay-Z and Brown have not commented on the matter.
The 46-year-old artist has a history of collaboration with Jay-Z, including her 1996 hit song “I’ll Be.” While Brown has not addressed the recent allegations in detail, her cryptic posts have sparked speculation among fans.
In October, Brown publicly denied claims that she had signed an NDA regarding her relationship with the 24-time Grammy winner. “In icon business! Miss me wit that fake news,” she wrote, adding, “NDA? Ain’t a MF alive could stop my story. NDA on my s–t gon’ run 100 mill.”
She also responded to speculation about her involvement in narratives surrounding Jay-Z, writing, “Stop playin’ wit my name, dyin’ for a comment. Can’t spin me with the sucker s–t to take Hov down. Betta ask bout’ the cloth I’m cut from.” She then appeared to defend Jay-Z, writing, “Y’all want me to be anti-Hov so bad. FOH.”
The cryptic posts come days after Jay-Z and Combs were named in an amended civil lawsuit. The suit alleges the two men raped a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000.

Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a “blackmail” attempt by attorney Tony Buzbee. “What [Buzbee] had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
Combs’ legal team also denied the claims, calling them a “shameless publicity [stunt].” The music mogul is currently in custody awaiting trial on unrelated sex trafficking charges.
The lawsuit has ignited public debate, while both Jay-Z and Combs continue to fight the allegations.
