World No. 1 Jannik Sinner advanced to the Wimbledon 2025 final after defeating Novak Djokovic in the semifinal of the grass-court Grand Slam. He will now face two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the title match on Sunday.
This Wimbledon final is being hyped as a rematch of the French Open showdown, where Alcaraz came out on top against Sinner.
Sinner shared that even though his recent loss at Roland Garros was still fresh, he wasn’t letting it affect his mindset ahead of the Wimbledon final.
I think if it would be a lot in my head, I would not be in the situation to play a final again, I guess, I’m very happy to share once again the court with Carlos. It’s going to be difficult, I know that. But I’m looking forward to it,
the top-seeded Sinner said.
I try always to put myself in these kind of situations that I really love. Sundays at every tournament are very special,
he said, looking ahead to the final

Sinner was two sets up in the Roland Garros final before Alcaraz staged a comeback to win in a gripping five-set battle. However, the Italian believes that the clash at SW19 is a whole new challenge and is approaching it with that mindset.
I think it’s something what you feel before the match and also during the match. I can give you answers after, But no, it’s different. Different match. I’m looking forward to it,
he said.
Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals of both 2023 and 2024 and is now aiming for a third straight title at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
He won here two times in a row. He’s again in the final. It’s very tough to beat him on grass, but I like these challenges, I like to go head-to-head and trying to see what I can do and what I can reach.
Sinner acknowledged.
Earlier this season, Sinner captured the Australian Open crown, while Alcaraz secured the French Open title. Their Grand Slam successes have sparked discussions about a changing of the guard — from the era dominated by the Big Three to one led by the sport’s rising stars.
You cannot compare what the big three did for 15-plus years. Six Grand Slams are one-and-a-half years. It’s not that big yet, Of course, we find ourself, again, in this position. This is the second consecutive Grand Slam that we are in the final and playing each other, which is great from my side.
Sinner stated.
“I believe it’s good for the sport. The more rivalries we have from now on, the better it is, because people want to see young players going against each other,” said the three-time Grand Slam champion.
“I’m happy to be in that position, but let’s see in the future. If we can make that happen for the next three, four years, then people can think about. Let’s see,” he signed off.
