In the Agatha finale, you’ll gain some extra understanding, but don’t expect to see Thanos.
Jac Schaeffer knows how to make great Marvel shows. She created WandaVision, which brought the MCU to Disney+ and celebrated classic sitcoms. This led to the spinoff called Agatha All Along, focusing on the curious neighbor who becomes a chaos witch, Agatha Harkness.
Just like WandaVision, Agatha All Along is full of surprises and twists, including the big reveal that the mysterious “Teen” is actually Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.
Spoilers for Agatha All Along ahead!
In Episode 7, things got really intense. The episode focused on the divination witch Lilia Calderu, but it also brought a big surprise: Rio Vidal, Agatha’s ex-girlfriend, is actually Death! This version of Death is different from what we see in the comics.

We might see her again, too! Schaeffer shared some details about this surprise and hinted that there’s even more to come in the final two episodes of the series.

So, how does Death work in the MCU? She showed up to Lilia right before she died, which could mean she acts like the Marvel version of the Grim Reaper, appearing as a warning to those about to pass away. Or maybe she has a more magical role, like how Agatha controls chaos. Schaeffer can’t reveal everything just yet, but we’ll find out more in Episodes 8 and 9, which come out on October 30.
There will be more explanations about our version of Death, But we also want viewers to think about it themselves. You’ll understand better how she works in the last two episodes.
Schaeffer said in an interview with Inverse

In the comics, Death shows up a lot as a cosmic being. One of her biggest roles is in Thanos’ story—he became destructive because he wanted to impress Death, who he loved. However, the version of Death in Agatha All Along has a different romantic background. So, don’t expect to see Thanos in her story anytime soon.
Thanos isn’t in my show, so I can’t talk about any connections to him, For all the Thanos fans out there, I don’t have any answers for you.

While you can remove Thanos from your list of who might make a surprise appearance in the finale, Death won’t stay a complete mystery in the last two episodes. We’ll discover more about her then, and she’s going to be a part of the MCU’s future too. Will Rio have more adventures? Schaeffer’s answer is simple:
As a fan, I really hope so.
Agatha All Along is now available to watch on Disney+.
