The gang is back for Season 17 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which starts on July 9 on FXX, and you can watch it on Hulu the next day.
This season, the longest-running live-action comedy brings a new version of the “Abbott Elementary” crossover, showing what happens from the point of view of Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Dee, and Frank.
In a preview clip, the gang helps out at the made-up Philly elementary school, stealing kids’ brownies and holding auditions to form a boy band.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is celebrating 20 years since its first episode this year. The show stars Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito.
Season 17, called “The Gang Embraces the Corporate Era,” shows how Paddy’s Pub gets caught up in greed and the new version of the American Dream.
They’ll exploit cross-network promotion to increase market share; they’ll scapegoat one of their own to avoid a PR backlash; they’ll risk everything for a handshake with the Saudis; they’ll bend the laws with side hustles to pad their pockets; and they’ll change everything about themselves to appeal to a broader audience, And sure, like any corporate goon, the Gang craves money and parasitic social privileges. That’s been plain since 2005. But they’re also human beings. They crave love.. respect… conditional freedom… constant adulation… histrionic amounts of attention… non-stop gratification… and unfiltered, slaphappy eroticism.
