Invincible Season 3 is already halfway through, and its co-creator has shared some exciting news—fans won’t have to wait too long for future seasons. Unlike Season 2, this season is following a much steadier release schedule.
There’s no long break between episodes, and the eighth and final episode is set to release this March. With Invincible Season 4 already confirmed, the team is working hard to bring new seasons to fans as quickly as possible.
In an interview with DiscussingFilm, Robert Kirkman, co-creator of Invincible, explained that the current release schedule is a better example of what fans can expect moving forward, unlike the long wait between Seasons 1 and 2.
I think that the release schedule that we’re in is much more what we can expect going forward as opposed to the release schedule that we were in between Season 1 and 2,
he said
He also shared that the team, including Shaun O’Neill and Dan Duncan, is working at full speed to keep production going.
We’re working at a breakneck pace behind the scenes with Shaun O’Neill and Dan Duncan and the entire team to keep this factory moving and keep this show in production so that we can come out in a fairly regular clip,
he explained
I can’t guarantee that we’ll be coming back in early February every single year, but I can say that is the goal.
While they hope to release new seasons consistently, he added,
Showrunner Simon Racioppa assured fans that the team is working as fast as possible to keep new episodes coming.
Nobody’s sitting on this show. Everybody’s working as hard as they can. We have a huge team of people. But it’s a big book, and it’s a big show. It takes a lot of people, and a lot of time, and effort to try and get it right. We want it out as soon as you guys too. Even sooner.
If everything stays on track with this production schedule, fans won’t have to wait too long for new seasons.

Invincible Season 3 has been a big hit with critics, just like the first two seasons. But some animation fans have started debating its visual quality. Many expected the show to have more intense animated scenes, like in the original Invincible comics. Since new seasons are being released almost every year, the animation team might not have enough time to fully develop every scene the way they want.
This tight production schedule could explain why some moments don’t look as detailed as fans expected. Work on Invincible Season 4 has already begun, as some of the show’s stars have hinted. This steady pace is exactly what fans were hoping for.
To avoid the complaints about the long gaps between episodes in Season 2, the team needs to keep pushing forward. If they stick to this schedule, the show can stay in high demand every year until it finally wraps up—for better or worse.
