Even though Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani doesn’t use platforms like X or Instagram much, fans still love her on social media. One reason is that, just like you, she’s a fan too! Her movie reviews on Letterboxd always grab a lot of attention, and it’s easy to see why.
Fans enjoy her reviews because they show she’s not only an actor but also a real movie fan, making her thoughts both relatable and fun to read. Recently, she updated her profile with reviews of some big films, and they quickly caught people’s attention. It’s not common for actors to share their opinions on movies, so her reviews offer a fresh and interesting point of view.
Iman Vellani’s reviews on Letterboxd have been getting a lot of attention, especially her low rating for Madame Web, which she gave only 0.5 stars out of 5. On the other hand, she seemed to enjoy Deadpool & Wolverine, giving it 4 stars.

Her opinions on other films were just as bold. She gave both Joker: Folie à Deux and Venom: The Last Dance 0 stars, showing she wasn’t a fan. But she absolutely loved The Penguin, giving it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

The review that got the most attention was for The Marvels. Instead of giving it a star rating, she wrote, “Actual footage of the girlies and I having fun,” hinting that she enjoyed making the movie but didn’t want to give it a formal review.
While it’s unclear what’s next for Vellani in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it’s obvious that she loves playing Kamala Khan. There’s no news about a second season of Ms. Marvel yet, and because of The Marvels’ box office performance, another team-up seems unlikely for now. But some rumors suggest that Kamala could join the Young Avengers in Avengers: Doomsday.
Her honest and funny reviews keep fans entertained, making her Letterboxd account a go-to for anyone interested in her career and movie thoughts.
In 2022, Vellani shared,

She went on to say,

Looking back on being cast as Ms. Marvel, she said:
My parents, who are immigrants, always encouraged us to try new things. They never told us to just focus on our studies because you can do that anywhere. They moved to a new country so we could have better opportunities.
I knew exactly which comic book scenes they used for the audition. My 10-year-old self would be so mad at me if I didn’t do it.
She also mentioned,
I was totally geeking out in front of [co-president] Louis D’Esposito and [casting head] Sarah Finn. I wanted to make the most of the moment because I wasn’t sure if it would happen again.
She added,
