Hunter Schafer, star of HBO‘s “Euphoria,” wants to work with Emma D’Arcy on a vampire movie. Emma D’arcy and Hunter Schafer playing siblings would be amazing for all viewers.
“Emma D’arcy Hunter Schafer that would be so cool. We could play siblings”
Schafer said in an interview. Known for her captivating presence, Schafer is set to debut as a lead in Tilman Singer’s horror film “Cuckoo.” She admitted feeling nervous about the new role, saying, “I was nervous because I’d never been a lead before.”
Hunter Schafer first won our hearts in HBO’s “Euphoria” and has since amazed the world on red carpets, supported trans rights, and even got arrested at a protest for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. Although she is a real-life main character, she had never played one on screen until now.
“I was nervous,” Hunter Schafer continued. “I had only worked on Euphoria and felt comfortable there. Then, suddenly, I was in a completely new place with new people. I wondered, ‘Can I still do this?’ I had to prove it to myself.”
Hunter Schafer has been confidently proving herself since she was born on New Year’s Eve in 1998, just as the Spice Girls played on TV before the Times Square countdown. Her family moved from New Jersey to Arizona and then to North Carolina as her father, a pastor, took jobs at different churches.

Despite growing up in a religious family, Hunter Schafer developed a love for horror movies. “I loved watching horror films. This script found me, and I loved it,” she said. Schafer stars in the horror film Cuckoo and has roles in Kinds of Kindness with Emma Stone, Blade Runner 2099 with Michelle Yeoh, and will return for Euphoria season three. She is also the face of Mugler’s new fragrance, Angel Fantasm.
“‘Fierce’ is a word we often use in the queer community,” Hunter Schafer explains. “It’s about being powerful and embracing femininity, which I see in the Mugler woman too.” She thinks her Euphoria character, Jules would wear the fragrance best. Jules is confident in her sexuality and isn’t afraid to show it.

Earlier this summer, a viral post compared House of the Dragons star Emma D’Arcy’s cover shoot for ES Magazine with a photo of Hunter Schafer, both dressed in leather. The caption suggested a vampire romantic comedy with them. Due to a slight similarity between Hunter Schafer and Emma Darcy, both could play well as siblings. Viewers may find Emma D’arcy Hunter Schafer’s collab interesting because of their excellence in acting.
When asked about it, Schafer said,
“That would be awesome! I haven’t met Emma in person, but I’ve seen comparisons online. People often mix us up, especially since House of the Dragon started. We look quite alike, so playing siblings in a vampire story would be cool.”
Hunter Schafer and Emma Darcy, and other actors like Bella Ramsey, Indya Moore, and Emma Corrin lead the way for a new generation of transgender and gender non-conforming talent. Does Schafer feel proud to be a part of this movement? “Absolutely. It’s essential to me. I feel like the universe has given me these opportunities, and I’ve chosen to take them because I believe I can make a difference in the world. Hunter Schafer and Emma Darcy together will be an astounding cast because both are talented and confident.
“It’s a big part of why I pursue this career path. I’m happy to contribute and excited to see others in my community creating space for us. It means a lot to me.”
