HBO has been facing rumors that Euphoria won’t return for a third and final season. However, the network has now hinted at a release timeline. At a Wells Fargo tech and media conference, Warner Bros. Discovery streaming chief JB Perrette revealed that the long-awaited season is expected to premiere in 2026, according to Variety.
Earlier reports suggested that Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and HBO were aiming for a 2025 release. Recently, Colman Domingo, who plays Rue’s (Zendaya) sponsor in Narcotics Anonymous, shared that filming for season 3 is expected to start in January and finish by summer 2025.
Euphoria faced many delays after season 2, including the sad loss of Angus Cloud, the Hollywood strikes, and the busy schedules of its stars like Zendaya, Colman Domingo, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. Since season 2 aired in early 2022, the show’s return will come at least four years later. To keep things fresh, the new season will include a time jump, showing the characters as adults dealing with life after high school.
Colman Domingo and Sydney Sweeney have both shared that they’re ready to return for the next season of Euphoria. Other main cast members like Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow are also expected to come back. However, Storm Reid, who played Rue’s younger sister Gia, won’t be part of the new season. Despite leaving, the Emmy-winning actress feels proud to have Euphoria as part of her journey and looks forward to watching season 3.

Deadline reports that HBO’s award-winning show The White Lotus will be back in February. Other popular series, like The Last of Us and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, are set to return in 2025. Another big change coming that year? Max plans to tighten rules on password sharing.
