She played Cho Chang, the main character’s crush in the Harry Potter series.
Bridgerton has cast a familiar face for a magical role. Katie Leung, known for playing Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies, will join season 4 of the popular romance series. This season will focus on Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), and Leung will play the new villain, Lady Araminta Gun.
Araminta is described as a woman who has been married twice and widowed twice. In the new season, she has two daughters entering the marriage market. She is sharp, stylish, and direct, and doesn’t react well when anything or anyone threatens her high social status.
Sophie faces trouble as Araminta tries to match one of her daughters with Benedict. Joining Katie Leung are two new cast members: Michelle Mao (from Sweet Home and Goosebumps) and Isabella Wei (from The Crow and 1899), who will play Araminta’s daughters, Rosamund and Posy.
Rosamund, the eldest daughter, is vain and eager to impress, hoping to marry a particular Bridgerton brother. Like her mother, she is determined to get her way, showing the same scheming nature.
Posy, the younger sister, is friendlier and more talkative but often says the wrong thing.

Season 4, inspired by Julia Quinn’s An Offer from a Gentleman, follows Benedict as he falls for a mysterious masked woman at his mother’s masquerade ball. Actor Luke Thompson hinted at the fairy tale romance in an interview with Tudum.
Ha feels a strong connection to her character, Sophie.
The season will also show more of two familiar characters: Alice Mondrich (Emma Naomi) and Brimsley (Hugh Sachs), Queen Charlotte’s loyal friend.
These updates come after the success of Bridgerton’s third season, which focused on the love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Penelope finally reveals her longtime crush and her secret identity as Lady Whistledown. The season, led by Newton and Coughlan, became the show’s biggest launch ever, with 45.1 million views during its opening weekend.
