Halle Berry won’t be starring in or producing the new Hulu legal drama “All’s Fair.”
This news comes just a week after it was announced that Berry would join the show with Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian. It was supposed to be one of Berry’s few regular TV roles. A source said Berry left the show because of a scheduling conflict.
Ryan Murphy’s show “All’s Fair” is about an all-female law firm in Los Angeles. Details about Berry’s character were not revealed. Representatives for Berry, Hulu, and 20th Television did not comment.

Berry’s upcoming movies include the Netflix film “The Union” with Mark Wahlberg, coming out on August 16, and the Lionsgate horror movie “Never Let Go,” releasing on September 27.
Ryan Murphy is the writer, director, and executive producer of “All’s Fair,” his first series after his Netflix deal ended and he signed a new deal with Disney. Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine are also writers and executive producers. Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson are executive producers too. Close will produce through her Trillium Productions. 20th Television will make the show with Ryan Murphy Television.
Shortly after the casting news, it was reported that “All’s Fair” is one of five shows getting part of $58 million in tax credits from the California Film Commission. The show will film for 97 days in California, with 10 days outside the Los Angeles area.
