Hailey Bieber has subtly shown her support for Selena Gomez’s engagement to Benny Blanco.
The 28-year-old model “liked” Gomez’s Instagram post, which featured photos of her sparkling engagement ring and the announcement that Blanco had popped the question. Gomez captioned the post, “Forever begins now,” while Blanco added in the comments, “Hey wait … that’s my wife.”
Before Gomez began her relationship with Blanco in 2023, she famously dated Hailey’s now-husband, Justin Bieber. Gomez and Justin were first linked in 2011 and had an on-again, off-again relationship spanning several years.

Reflecting on their brief romance at the time, Justin told GQ in 2016, “What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. … I just don’t want to hurt her.”

Gomez and Justin reconciled in 2017 but ended their relationship for good the following year. Justin then rekindled his relationship with Hailey, and the two married in 2018. Most recently, the couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues, in August.
Gomez has been candid about the challenges she faced following her breakup with Justin. In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the singer and actress shared, “I was, you know, obviously going through a really tough breakup, and then I was left with the question of my career and where am I gonna go and what’s gonna happen? … Being on the other side of it, I have to be honest, it’s actually been really good for me.”
She added, “[Our breakup] allowed me to develop a character where I don’t tolerate any sort of nonsense or disrespect. … I had a lot of soul searching to do. By all means, I don’t have life figured out, but I do know that during that time I was learning so much about myself.”
While Justin and Gomez have moved on from their relationship, fans have continued to speculate about their intertwined history with Hailey.
In a 2022 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Hailey addressed the subject, saying, “It’s hard for me to talk about this because I don’t want to talk on either one of their behalf because it was their relationship. I honestly respect that very deeply, but I just know what was going on when we got back together. … I think it was the most healthy, mature decision that he could have made, and I respect that.”
As Gomez celebrates her engagement to Blanco, it appears Hailey is sending a quiet message of positivity and support.
